Very useful tips.

Okay, there is a publication I had been targeting for a few weeks now, but never gathered the courage to submit. Now, I am going to take them off the pedestal and pitch my piece.

Even if it gets rejected, I will work on the article, publish it elsewhere. Then, I will write another one and be back to pitch to my dream publication, haha.
